Hypercom Shows Quarter Profit
Payment terminal maker Hypercom Corp. reported fourth-quarter net income of $1.5 million compared with a $4.2 million loss in 2000's fourth quarter. Revenues, however, dropped 12% to $74.5 million from $84.5 million in the 2000 period. The company said in a statement that sales fell short of the expected $80 million because of Hypercom's decision to receive product back from a customer to add features.
